A Styled Bridal Photoshoot

Evon Bridal by Sara Ranlett Portraits

In March, I was approached by local wedding dress designer, Evon Bridal, for a creative styled bridal photoshoot. I was thrilled; I don’t photograph many weddings by choice, but I do absolutely adore photographing bridal work. The delicate details, the romanticism, the yards and yards of tulle! I couldn’t let this chance go by.

For those of you out there who aren’t familiar with the process of putting together a creative photoshoot, it’s a lot of work; coordinating schedules between half a dozen people, figuring out locations, art direction, moodboards, what to bring, there’s a lot to be accounted for! But I do love managing and taking the reigns when it comes to putting it together, and I love seeing the final vision come to life.

We all assembled at a studio on Capitol Hill, which had it’s…quirks. It was rustic, let’s say that! But it was close to coffee, had amazing light and more than enough room for the full team.

It was a whirlwind, but over 4 hours, I photographed seven amazing bridal gowns. Each one was unique, with gorgeous attention to detail, and Joelle & Stephanie really brought them to life!

I wanted to write a post about this experience, because it’s not often I shoot bridal and wanted to highlight this amazing new designer in Seattle. Enjoy these galleries of each dress, and if you’re interested in the creative team credits or if you’re a bride who would love a gown like this for her wedding, scroll down to the bottom!
